Current Hall Schedule
COVID-19 and the hall
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our regular activities are not being held this fall. We hope to offer new activities as soon as the situation allows.
In the meantime, the activities that are running are following all precautions as required by Alberta Health Services for the health of the participants and all hall users.
Baby and Toddler Playgroup - OUTDOORS IN THE FALL
Dates: September 14th to 'whenever it gets too cold to play outside!'
Time: Mondays, 10 - 11.30 a.m.
Place: McKernan Park (112 St. and 76 Ave., near Mckernan Baptist Church)
Age group: 0-5
Play group leader: Mary Cox
My son and I are looking forward to seeing lots of families in the park! Playgroup is a great way to meet families in the local community and get some fresh air. It will be a fun and safe way to play during Monday mornings after the labour day weekend and through til it gets too cold to play outside anymore!
Things you should know before coming to playgroup
Due to Covid 19 regulations set out by the Alberta Health Services the Community League will provide a bin of toys which are sanitized. When a child has finished playing with a toy it must be put in a separate box to be cleaned. Cleaning wipes will be provided by the league if another child wants the toy straight away. If not, the toys will be put in a 'to be cleaned' bin to be sanitized at the end of the playgroup.
Families are very welcome to bring their own outdoor toys (chalk, buckets/spades, scooters, bikes etc) but it is recommended that they do not share their toys with other families. If they wish to do so, it is recommended that the toy is cleaned first.
Social distancing will be encouraged but masks will not be necessary due to being outside.
Please bring your own snacks and drinks.
Outdoor play equipment in the park will not be sanitized. Use at your own risk.
Playgroup will be weather dependent. If it is cancelled, Mary will send out a group text to let people know. If you are new to playgroup and are not sure if it is on please contact Mary.
Hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes will be provided by the league if needed.
Unfortunately there are no washrooms at the park.
