Members of the McKernan Community League can now enjoy a free swim every Sunday from 4pm - 5:30pm at Confederation Leisure Centre (11204 - 43 Avenue). This is effective immediately, with the first one on May 5th. Membership card is mandatory for entry - info on purchasing membership is found here. The facility includes a salt water pool, large whirlpool, dive tank with 1 and 3 metre boards, slides, swing rope, and steam room. Unfortunately there is no baby/toddler pool, and kids 3 and under may need a life jacket (provided) to be safe in the main pool as the shallow end starts at 2'10". There are family change rooms, but they are not as nice as those at newer facilities.
