Rink Hours 2026

The McKernan rink is located next to the hall at 78 Ave. and 113 St.

Every day: Ice open for mixed use from 7:30am to 9pm 

Fridays: rink shack open 5 - 9pm

Saturday & Sunday: rink shack open 12 - 4pm 

Note that the rink shack will be closed if temperatures are below -20°C or above 5°C. 

Lights are on from 4:30pm - 9pm daily. Check the activity calendar to confirm rink opening times! 

The rink shack has skate changing space and washrooms. A small selection of skates & helmets are available for McKernan residents to borrow for free from the rink shack during the above open hours. Some hockey sticks of various lengths and pucks can also be borrowed. Please return borrowed equipment prior to rink shack closing time.

Be courteous and share the ice!

Shinny hockey players are welcome, but please don't monopolize the ice. When small children or beginner skaters are present, please confine use of pucks to the West side (near the hall).
